Kindness is the right truth. (My original definition.)
We picked up an extra soup ladle (because we always find ourselves needing two simultaneously and Matt loves soups).
Before we were out of sight, I waved the ladle "Goodbye." at the gentleman (I wish I had caught his name on his name tag to record here) with gratitude.
He smiled back from behind his respirator. You can tell when a person truly means their smile because their eyes do.
An even exchange was made between us from his act of kindness, smiles.
I have what I like to call a jot-journal, and inside its pages I have a jot-thought about kindness...
"Kindess is the richest currency. It is the kind that evokes an honest return in your investment." -Emily
PS Wal-Mart has its reputation, but if you enter through the doors with that aside, it's not bad.
I like Wal-Mart.
7/2/20 PS Fun facts about this neck gaitor:
I conquered my dream of being a professional dog walker. (I never walked alone. I wore PW, a Garcia pup of 15 years, with me on my hat and Hank, my Colliedor, on my face to protect me. From the sun.
The Colliedor only exists in my world. It is a breed name I made up to define Hank. His dominant mixture is Border Collie and Labrador Retriever. He helped me get through my first semester of animal nursing school - I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician. While he is sturdy as a mutt, he is a dog in a league of his own.
I purchased the mask in 2018 to wear as part of my signature look. I was the dog walker on the streets who protected myself from the sun. Needless to say, the idea was a hit. #likedoglikedogwalker
The concept of the gaitor came in handy this year, too.
