“Christ has made my soul beautiful with jewels of Grace…”- St Agnes  I have loved this quote, and I found the Saint it belonged to yesterday.  I am telling you, Saints have the best quotes.

I like to make lists and one list I have is of cat names for a black cat.  When we stayed at Grandma’s house, we had an outside pet that was a stray black cat.  We named her Green Eyes.

On my list I have:
Begonia

I think Agnes would be a good name for a black cat, too.

I think of names for Dixie, too.  Franxis and Silky are on that list.

Matt almost gave Hank the name Moose but Matt read the Hank the Cowdog series and from I know about Amanda’s collection, Hank was a clever dog.  I suggested Hank because “Hank” fit Hank; he can find his way out of anything - Hank found his way off the streets to us.
We tease Dixie she may have a clue but not the kind of clue Hank has.  I have seen Dixie and Harold make Hank’s face there - it’s funny.  Dixie makes that face when we eat pizza; she does not like to wait for pizza bones but she will.  I see that face on her when I peer through Matt’s arm hole to see if she’s waiting for me to notice she’s been waiting for her share of pizza bones longer than she’d like.  On cold nights, but it’s 70 degrees in the house, she will chatter her teeth while she waits for pizza bones.  She does that with pancakes, too.  She  cannot be warm and wait for pizza bones and pancakes at the same time much like I cannot grocery shop and talk on the phone at the same time.  I don’t know how people do that!!  I am too busy talking to myself in the aisles.

I think if Matt was going to name Hank, Moose, he should go with Morris.  Morris fits Hank, too.  Morris Goes to School is one of my favorites of that moose; Morris goes to school because he can’t count gumdrops.  That’s initiative!

Hank takes great initiative to be a model dog.  I told Hank it was his life’s destiny to go to work with Matt, and he fulfilled it this year.

Walk. Wag. Repeat.

Fit check!  My Nitto Nomad Grapplers arrived!  I waited years for these tires to arrive on the market to fit my vision and another year to fit the budget.  I am still creating my very own bumper sticker 🎣 and my vision will be complete.  My bumper sticker inspiration courtesy of “Beau”: I never stuck it on my dogwalking vehicles, though.   Thank you, Guardian Angel, for turning the wheel just right. I wanted to keep Beau’s gift of encouragement to me in a bumper sticker in keepsake condition.  Once upon a time…  But I would walk “500” miles  And I would walk “500” more  Just to be the girl who walked “1000” miles To up- lift her car. Thanks Chris for making my Barbie Jeep dreams come true.  #yourdreamsdontworkunlessyoudo they say. (One day I calculated I dog walked 52 miles/week.  Beau The Dogo Argentina’s mom raised my attention to the reality I had been walking on her watch rain or shine and on rare occasion snow for 2+ years. ...

Thank you Matt for taking my picture.  There’s looking at you! I thought some things driving to the grocery store behind a truck and trailer.  First, Yes; that must be some good help in that cab.  Second, that's some well used scaffolding #mindofateacher Third, gratitude for the life of Jesus Christ and Him wanting to share it with me in Him  https ://youtube.com/clip/UgkxzXJyENvvL2pYAws7N3iWv_0Ebl5MCi--?si=mQefTiag4raNoHqP Third, Fourth,  (7/28/24 Thank you Lord God for Your gifts of prayer and promise and wonder of the extraordinary in the ordinary. 🐕‍🦺I am ending my final entry with the beginning of a 54 day Novena for two people I’ve never met, but by powerful mystery beyond my understanding, I feel strangely connected by prayer to pray for. For Elliot and Grace and in Thanksgiving for all holy friendship.  My favorite meditation so far…  I’ll begin the first nine days with a Friendship Novena, too, and try those 54 rosaries for the first time on...

Hashtags

Hashtags are fun. My mom, two sisters, and I can have a conversation, almost, in hashtags. We even punctuate our hashtags with an "exclamation point" emphasized by the thump of our four fingers enumerating the syllables in /hashtag/.  We know it's going to be a good one because the punctuation comes before the actual clips of "phrases".  There's something in a good hashtag, I feel.  Talking in hashtags is saying everything you need to say about something in witty code.   Wit is something special.  In my opinion, wit is mastered by going through an experience and coming out on the good side of it.  Wit is like a language, but there has to be a spark between the sender and receiver so it doesn't get lost in the encoding and decoding process of communication.   So wit is kind of like a love language.  It's the humor in the language between two kindred hearts.  Because, yes, I do believe, laughter is the best medicine.  BEGIN SIDENOTE: When ...
